mem·o·ry /ˈmem(ə)rē/ by definition is the faculty by which the mind stores and remembers information. It is the retention of information over time for the purpose of influencing future action.

It is also the most unreliable source of information in this world. It warps and bends with time and space, perpetually rewriting the past and altering the present.
How much of your memory is yours?
Is it the one before the circumstances and situations affected you?

Before you were influenced and conditioned into who you should be or how you should feel?

Maybe I should pose the question in a different manner.

How long will it take for you to remember?

Or better yet how long will it take for it to come back to you?
